1937 Martin O-17 was restored and sold by Folkways Music - here's their description of this guitar:

Serial # 68781. Restored by Folkway, here is a pre-war 0-17 that plays perfectly and sounds tremendously good. The guitar came to us having been sloppily over-brushed with some kind of urethane, but in otherwise healthy condition. We carefully removed the non-original finish, leaving the original lacquer finish mostly intact, and then over-sprayed the body with Nitrocellulose lacquer. To keep the price in check, we opted out of mechanically aging the finish, so the guitar is shiny-new and quite attractive. The bridge is a shop-made reproduction, the neck has been reset, frets replaced, and the Gotoh tuners, bone saddle, and Henkes and Blazer pins are new. Original nut, and mostly original neck finish. The headstock face has not been altered.

Original bridgeplate is in excellent condition, as are all the braces. Apart from one repaired back crack there are no internal repairs. Excellent neck reset, perfect frets and playability. Low round neck carve, 1-3/4" nut, 24.9" scale.

A very fine sounding 17, with excellent bass response, a lovely compliment of overtones, and an even and strong midrange and treble end.
